Now that you’ve seen the feature list, let’s break down how each capability impacts real-world Call Management.
Voice Recognition
Callers can use the DTMF keyboard or speech recognition to enter numbers into Sinch’s interactive voice response (IVR). Instead of hitting a key, they can say their choice, which makes the first step of every call easier. Sinch’s speech recognition works reliably at scale because it is based on a geo-redundant Tier 1 network that is up more than 99.5% of the time. Sinch provides a useful update path within the same API setting for call centers that want to move beyond keypad-only IVR without having to rebuild their whole call flow.
Vanity Numbers
Sinch procures vanity toll-free numbers — alphanumeric numbers like 1-800-FLOWERS — directly via API or its portal, with an extensive inventory covering sequential and custom number blocks. For businesses running brand recall campaigns where the phone number itself is part of the message, a vanity number turns a contact point into a marketing asset. Sinch handles porting, procurement, and regulatory management so getting the number you want doesn’t require coordinating with multiple carriers or working around availability gaps.
Toll-Free Numbers
Sinch provisions toll-free numbers across 70+ countries, combining voice, SMS, and MMS on a single number in the US and Canada. Businesses get a cost-free inbound line for customers with built-in call tracking, fraud protection against traffic pumping, and automatic re-routing in the event of an outage. Because Sinch owns and operates the core network end-to-end on its own Tier 1 infrastructure, toll-free numbers come with the reliability and quality control that resellers and aggregators cannot match.
Real-Time Reporting
Sinch’s Voice API dashboard surfaces real-time metrics on every call — duration, cost, routing, endpoints, and quality — with live usage and per-call cost tracking on a single screen. Managers can filter Call Data Records by number, date, or outcome to spot problems as they happen rather than reviewing them the next morning. For teams running high-volume outbound campaigns or managing global contact center operations, that live visibility is what makes active cost control and quality monitoring actually possible mid-session.
Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
Sinch IVR supports keypad and speech input, text-to-speech in 115+ languages, pre-recorded prompts, real-time backend data pulls, and dynamic call flow logic — all configurable via REST API, SDKs, and SVAML without vendor lock-in. Built on a global Tier 1 network with ISO 27001, GDPR, and STIR/SHAKEN compliance, it handles everything from basic menu routing to authentication, order tracking, and self-service flows at enterprise scale. Compared to rigid IVR products from dedicated contact center vendors, Sinch gives developer teams full control over every step of the call experience.
Call Recording
Sinch records inbound and outbound calls with bring-your-own storage via Google Cloud, Amazon S3, or Microsoft Azure — recordings land directly in your existing infrastructure rather than a vendor-controlled silo. Sinch never stores your audio files. Transcription in 115+ languages is available as an add-on, with recordings delivered in MP3 format and webhook notifications fired as soon as each file is available. For compliance-heavy industries where call archiving is a regulatory requirement and audit trail access needs to be programmatic rather than manual, this BYOC approach provides exactly the control that matters.
Call Analytics
Sinch tracks every call with timestamps, duration, endpoints, routing path, and cost data — filterable and downloadable as CSV for custom analysis. Real-time and historical views are available side by side, so operations teams can spot anomalies mid-session without waiting for batch reports. Because data is accessible via API and webhooks, analytics pipelines can receive Sinch call data directly alongside SMS and email metrics — giving teams a genuinely unified view of communication performance rather than siloed channel reports.
Call Filtration
Sinch’s programmable voice layer supports routing rules built on IVR input, time of day, caller origin, agent availability, and skill sets — all configurable in real time. Call Data Records can be filtered by number, date, result, or custom criteria to isolate exactly the traffic segments needed for QA or compliance review. For contact centers managing mixed-priority inbound traffic, this filtering depth means high-value calls reach the right agents without manual intervention every time queue conditions change.
Automatic Call Distribution (ACD)
Both Sinch’s UCaaS and Contact Pro systems have automatic call distribution (ACD), which routes incoming calls based on contact skills, availability, and list rules that can be set up. Contact Pro supports real-time monitoring of ACD queues with supervisor dashboards that allow immediate adjustments to agent assignments, skills, and routing priorities — directly from the UI without IT involvement. For enterprises that need a fully managed contact center product with ACD built in rather than a custom-developed API solution, Sinch Contact Pro delivers it natively.
API and Third-Party Integrations
Sinch is API-first across every channel — voice, SMS, RCS, WhatsApp, email, and verification — with SDKs for Node.js, Java, .NET, Python, PHP, Ruby, and Go. Contact Pro ships with ready-made integrations for Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, SAP Service Cloud, and SAP CRM, plus RESTful APIs for connecting to any CRM, WFM, or chatbot platform. For enterprises comparing Sinch against Twilio or Infobip, the combination of direct carrier infrastructure, Tier 1 network ownership, and a broad pre-built connector library typically tips the evaluation for teams where reliability and integration depth both matter.
CPaaS
Sinch has been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for CPaaS for three consecutive years — 2023, 2024, and 2025. Its Customer Communications Cloud powers 900 billion interactions annually for 150,000+ businesses across messaging, voice, email, RCS, and WhatsApp. Founded in Stockholm in 2008 and publicly traded on NASDAQ Stockholm, Sinch competes directly with Twilio and Infobip at the top of the enterprise CPaaS market — and consistently differentiates on global carrier infrastructure depth, Tier 1 network ownership, and regulatory expertise across 60+ countries that pure-software CPaaS vendors cannot replicate.

“We have decided to cooperate with sinch on behalf of my organization and we regret it ever since. They never reply to emails and they do not adhere to SLAs at all. We are on the verge of terminating the agreement while approaching our deadlines. I do not recommend it.” – Neo K. ⭐☆☆☆☆ May 25, 2022
“Sinch is bad with payments. They debit your account and then do not add credits, don’t show the payment in the billing history. I have never had such an ignorant support team anywhere else. Writing a detailed email about issues, sending bank statements, and then they respond to whatever they want, completely ignoring your question. The worst customer support you can think of. not recording payment should be chased by some fraud banking uthorities.” – Bartek K. ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 21, 2022
Positive reviews:

“I appreciate Sinch’s commitment to us as a customer, to aim to understand our business and to propose the best solutions for our needs and challenges. Support in case of incidents have ability to improve, so that the service & communication would be quicker and more transparent. Their dashboard lacks alerts, so we could automatise monitoring the performance.” – Product Manager ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ May 30, 2023

“Flexible timings, supportive staff, line manager and super bosses are really helpful, fun loving environment.” – Account manager ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 2, 2026
Negative reviews:
“A global job architecture framework was rolled out, which first of all showed that the high level management, specifically HR, does not care about the employees. A massive bunch of employees are being demoted with their new titles, and people all over Sinch globally are resigning due to this. The team that did this work has very clearly not followed protocol or best practices for this work, which has resulted in promotions and good benefits for the high level management and their friends, while the rest of the business are feeling disappointed, downgraded, under-valued and that they have wasted their time at Sinch. Top level management is built on friendship and what benefits their closest ones and themselves, and not what actually benefits the business.” – Anonymous employee ⭐⭐☆☆☆ February 14, 2026
“As the acquired companies started to have less autonomy to work independently, the path forward became less clear. It was very obvious that there was no real, cohesive company strategy and on atop of that, work was done in silos. This meant a ton of redoing things, unclear expectations and general frustration day-to-day. It’s probably unrealistic to expect job security nowadays, but eirher way you won’t find any here. Nor will you find high salaries. Just chaos and confusion.” – Anonymous employee ⭐⭐☆☆☆ January 1, 2026
Positive reviews:
“The quality and detail in design is unmatched, and the functionality doesn’t fall far behind this. Sinch has been a big factor in motivating my grandparents to enjoy the outdoors again, something close not possible before E-Bikes. Thanks Sinch!” – Trijah Maharaj ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ May 28, 2020
Negative reviews:
“My parents get a handful of spam calls each day. They have a long established land line. ALL, and I mean ALL of the spam calls are from a Sinch number. They allow criminal spam calls to be initiated from their system, thus THEY are criminals. Definitely reporting Sinch to the FCC. Enough is enough.” – Me ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 3, 2026
“It’s a pity I cannot give a negative number of stars. Anyway. I created an account and did all the verification. Today I want to log into the system. There’s no clear way, link, space. The stupid bot machine asked me about my details (name, email, country), then suggested me to create a support ticket. HORRIBLE. YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE THE HELL MUST YOU GO TO LOG IN. How am I going to buy anything? I now want to log in, just to cancel the account and go labsxxx or gateway api.” – Alberto Villar ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 2, 2025
Positive reviews:
“We use Sinch to service our short codes that we use with our clients. They offer great service & support, plus the performance has always remained really high. They offer additional services that we don’t use, so my experience is only with their short code management solution, but they do that really well. I’ve been working with them since they were mBlox and they haven’t lost their touch.” – Verified User ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ June 23, 2021
“We used mBlox (CLX) to procure short and long code numbers for our customers in the Americas (including vanity codes). We also used mBlox to get carrier certifications to activate routes and enhance message delivery. Those long and short codes were used for marketing purposes to deliver SMS messages to recipient’s cell phones as well as to get replies back.” – Verified User ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ August 2, 2018
Negative reviews:
“My entire experience with sinch has been nothing but a disaster. I signed up and started filling out my profile information and there were some errors I was getting. On top of that my billing was all wrong. It took nearly an entire month, 3 phone calls, and numerous emails in order to finally get a response from my account manager. All this wasted time and effort also cost me and my company money with the project we were working on. Then once things finally did start moving, I was told I needed to wait an additional 6 weeks in order to see if I would even be able to use this service. No guarantees, no guidance, no assistance on how to ensure the vetting process could work in my favor. So in the end after 4 months of waiting, I would then have to wait another 6 weeks, and I HOPE things worked in my favor. I don’t recommend using this company if you value support and customer service.” – Ryan Sullivan ⭐☆☆☆☆ February 1, 2022
